Practical Finds This Week: Books and Make-Up
Hello loves! It had been a very busy week for me at work, with my acoustic band, with my friends, with personal errands, with events and most especially with my family. That's why I haven't been writing last week as often as I want to. How's everyone? Hope you're all having a great weekend so far!
This time, I wish to share some of the practical finds I got for my kids and myself last week. First of all let me tell you a (not-so) secret about reading. I cannot stress how important it is for me to expose my children to books or any form of reading material. That's why even if with the mobile phone, X-box, TV and laptop around, I still manage to read to my very active and techie toddler and make my not-so-bookish 9 year-old son read and write essays.
I regularly buy hardbound or flap books for my toddler. But since brand new books come in pricey tags, I buy books from Book Sale and at the stationery section of Pure Gold in Araneta Ave. cor. E. Rodriguez, Q.C. branch.

I am using the same eyebrow kit from IN2IT! I have a giveaway going-on in my blog.
ReplyDeleteJoin IamJenniya first blog giveaway and get a chance to win Forever 21, lovely goodies & gift certificates!
My mom discouraged us from reading comic books, but I think comics not only encourage children to read but also draw, right? Also, ang laki ng discount mo sa Maybelline!
ReplyDeleteCool haul! I am not using liquid foundation but I go for BB cream from The Face Shop.
ReplyDeleteHow was Maybelline's BB cream? Meron na raw new, CC cream? I remember when bb cream was new years ago and I just had to get BRTC online and pinahanap ko pa talaga ang gingko (skinfood's first bb).
ReplyDeleteThe Tonka hardbound book + drawing board is a great find!
ReplyDeleteComic books for bigger babies do the trick. hehe
ReplyDeleteI go for good finds, too! Ha ha... I just discovered a good blush by Nichido the other week, and it cost less than P500. I wrote about it in my brandsforgrabs blog. Kaaliw sis noh to find good and affordable products. hehe
ReplyDeleteHi @Momaye I tried Face Shops BB cream, it's non-greasy and it blends well on the face. :)
ReplyDeleteTama sis @Maan Laxa I always make it a point to buy make up during sale. Sayang ang discount din diba?
ReplyDeleteI also love Face Shop's BB cream @♥ tet ^__^ ♥ ! :)
ReplyDeleteNaku, I haven't heard of CC cream yet @Marie ano yun? hehehe! :)

ReplyDeleteTrue.. mga nanay nga talaga tayo @Meikah Ybañez-Delid ! hahaha! :) I read about that blush post sis! great value din talaga ha!
ReplyDeleteMy friend says it is Color Control Cream, which is refined BB cream daw haha. It was developed to retain the benefits of bb plus more nourishing ingredients daw.sabi ko kc sa kanya, "Samahan mo nga ako sa Etude at try ko BB nila. Mas mura sila kaysa skinfood". Sabi nya, "Naku, ate, old na yan. May CC na ano?"
ReplyDeleteYes, of course, sis! :D Haha
ReplyDeleteIt's great to know that your kids enjoy reading books. Early exposure to reading is a must too :)
ReplyDeleteI also use in2it products like their gel blush. It looks natural when applied.
