What game?  No, not really.  Finding a reliable courier service who is true to its commitment to pick up and deliver on time is a serious business.  I've tried a number of courier companies who were consistent in not meeting my and my sendee's expectations and I end up embarrassed having to explain myself.


I heard about Mr. Speedy, the fastest-growing same-day delivery service in the country, in a recent event I attended with other lovely bloggers and entrepreneurs looking for an alternative courier service in the market.  I listened intently as its Country Manager, Mr. Jason Gaguan, presented its business objectives, features, benefits, and what sets Mr. Speedy apart from other courier services.

TRYING MR.SPEEDY FOR THE FIRST TIME




I downloaded the app right away on Play Store (also available on Apple store, downloading is FREE) after the event.  I've got a few items to be delivered to different drop off points at a time.

Here were my impressions:
1.  It's easy to use.  The app is user-friendly and not complicated to understand.
2.  Registering for an account is a breeze.  You will be asked your mobile number and to nominate a strong password.  You'll get a verification code via SMS.
3.  Rate is cheaper compared to other same-day courier services, only Php6/km.
4.  Efficient route planner.  After inputting four (4) drop off points in no particular order, Mr. Speedy will optimize the route for you and the driver, starting from place of pick up.  The other app I used doesn't have this feature.
5.  If you are an online seller, there's a Cash-On-Delivery option for each drop-off.
6.  Their customer support is just a tap away and found easily on the app, should there be a follow-up or any concern regarding your courier order.
7.  Your assigned rider will contact you via SMS.

My assigned rider came on the time I requested via app.  I guess he is new to Mr. Speedy, that's why he didn't have a box where items for delivery are supposed to be secured.  That's my only concern.  Unlike other courier services, they don't have their own packaging.  So if you are sending something, make sure you pack it securely on your own.

Overall, the experience was quick and their app is easy to use.  I will definitely use Mr. Speedy from now on for my Metro Manila same-day delivery needs.  I also recommend this to you.
