Arabian Delights at Corniche of Diamond Hotel
One of the fondest things we do as a couple is to EAT! Who doesn't love to EAT right? We like trying out new places and we also come back often to the familiar. That's why when I got an invitation from THE Spanky Enriquez to try the Arabian Delights at Corniche Restaurant of the Diamond Hotel, we of course said YES! I love food that's spiced! I love eating onions and tomatoes a lot, so this to me was definitely a treat.
The Corniche Restaurant offers themed dinner buffet nights at Diamond Hotel. On Tuesday nights, they feature Arabian dishes true to the sumptuous and exotic taste of the Middle East. If you have an adventurous appetite like me, then you ought to try this!
For starters, they have a selection of Colde Mezze and Salads. Here are various Hummus to choose from: Babaganoush, Fatoush, Moussaka, Cucumber and Spiced Yoghurt Assortment, Tabouleh, Rice Bell Pepper Salad. They have Pita and an assortment of other flat breads to go with the Hummus. For soup, they have the Yellow Lentil Soup which has Crispy Bread Flakes, Creamy Homemade Yoghurt and Fresh Cilantro.
Shawarma Station-Live
Spiced Free Land Chicken Marinated in Middle East Spices
Served with Homemade Garlic Bread, Onions, Cucumber, Tomatoes, Shredded Lettuce
Tahini-Garlic Sauce and Spicy Herb Sauce
When I came back for my second round of Shawarma, I was surprised to see this! It was near non-existent already! Best-Seller! :)
Arabian Delights offer a lot more Hot Items as their main course such as:
Whole Steamed Fish with Preserved Lemons and Exotic Herbs on Seafood Rice
Beef Kofta Braised with Vegetables Curry
Arabic Style Steak Churrasco with Grilled Sweet Corn
Garithes Yiouvetsi (Baked Prawns with Feta and Ruccola)
Arabic Lamb Beef Stew with Smoked Onions
Fragrant Cous Cous
Moujadara
Crispy Falafel, Tatziki Sauce and Condiments
Tandoori Station
Here's my plateful of Arabian Goodness!!!
I loooooooved the Garithes Yiouvetsi (Baked Prawns with Feta and Ruccola)
Meanwhile, here's their Arabian Desserts:
Baklava, Kunafa/Kataifi, Nunnmoora, Lokum and Dates Fudge Bar.
Diamond Hotel's Corniche Restaurant also feature regular selections during their themed dinner buffets. So this means, you get a whole lot more for what you actually paid for! :) Let me take you around the different regular stations I helped myself with:
Bread Station
Salad Station
Their Salad of the day that night was Sicilian. They offer a number of dressings to cater to various preferences of their guests.
Seafood anyone?
Cold Cuts
Japanese Station:
Choose from Tamago, Tuna or Lapu-Lapu Sushi
Assorted Maki
Tuna and Salmon Sashimi are also available
My favorite: Tempura! :)
I had some servings of their dimsum as well. They have Hakaw, Siomai and Siopao
Daddy Practicality had his serving of Ramen. :)
For Italian Dish lovers like me, Pizza and Pasta combination is a treat! :)
For Thai Cuisine aficionados, Corniche also has the Pad-Thai Station.
Now let's go to my favorite part of the buffet! DESSERTS!
Ice Cream of different colors and flavors could already satisfy my sweet tooth. They offer different toppings as well!
An exciting and lovely array of Chocolate Pralines! :)
The kids (of all ages actually) would love this giant Chocolate Fountain.
Perfect for Summer: Halo-Halo
Ain't obvious that I love Chocolates right? Here's my plateful of it.
The Chocolate Ice Cream is just WOW for me! :)
Here's a group picture of the K.T.G. (Kain Tulog Gang) of which I was fortunate to be with that night.
