Wow, I can't believe it's been six weeks since I last posted about what I've been comfortably wearing while my preggy belly is growing tremendously.  If you'd like to see the first part, it's over HERE.

If you've been following me on Instagram, where I usually post my Outfit Of The Day photos, you'd notice that I am very safe when it comes to color combination of my wardrobe.  I actually notice lately that I like wearing blues, greys, whites, blacks and denims, and I like the striped pattern.  I'm drawn to these classic and cool-to-the-eyes hues.  I guess it's because I'm having a boy?  I don't know if there's any connection really.

1. Before updating your maternity wardrobe... look into your closet if you've kept some pieces which you could still use.  If you can't use them anymore because of size or the style is very outdated, better give it away by donating or selling it.
2. The key is to mix and match your clothes.  I always go for classic and safe colors.  One could never go wrong with the basics.  If you do want printed or loud colors, mix and match them with existing solid colors from your closet.  No need to keep on purchasing pieces of clothing which will only clutter your closet.
3. Do an inventory of your pre-maternity clothes which you could still use even when your preggy belly grows.  My closet is full of stretchable and comfortable tops which could handle my big tummy.  I like wearing this type of clothing because it's comfortable, it hugs my tummy firmly, it's versatile, it can be used for even after the baby's out.
4. Those button-up shirts could still make its way to your maternity get up.  You don't need to button it up, use as a layer to a fitting tank top.  This gives your outfit an updated and chic look.
5. On shoes... avoid using high-heeled ones, you may use pumps on occasions though.  Got flats, ballet shoes, sneakers, rubber shoes or slip-on sandals?  Now's the best time to use and abuse them.  Just avoid tripping over something

Hi there!  I’m pregnant and I feel insecure sometimes.  I could always blame it to my hormones and the physical changes that I’m going through right now.  Well, for the most part of it, it’s the hormones.  But a percentage could be attributed to external factors like my husband maybe (oopps, sorry mahal!  I hope you don’t read this!) and the media, other women, and to myself.

The hormones, I can’t do anything about it.  It will affect me physically of course because first of all, my preggy belly grows bigger as the weeks progress until I reach full term.  With that, I don’t look attractive or exciting and sexy anymore, which sometimes affects my self-confidence.  Because of the physical changes, my activities are limited and sometimes my work is also affected, which became a reason for some lost opportunities.  Physically, I now cannot see my feet and even my vajayjay.  Sexy times decreased in frequency.  I cannot wear socks and tie my shoes without help from my loved ones.  I cannot keep my balance when wearing bottoms, panties included.  I cannot travel too far, in fact, I missed our supposed family trip to Palawan which I booked last year.

I mentioned other factors such as my husband.  I don’t blame him directly actually.  It’s just that he’s so handsome (uuuy, mommies, siyempre love your own diba?!) and tall, talented, bad-boy-looking-charming, and could command other women’s attention even if he doesn’t ask for it.  With this dilemma (dilemma talaga?!), lately, I get jealous easily of some women he talks to who aren’t familiar to me.  I admit to checking his phone from time to time. I know I am creating my own nightmare, my own monster, by thinking I might lose him to someone or he doesn’t see me as attractive as before.  It's superficial you may say because it's all physical.  But there's a deeper issue here.

And the real issue is actually me and how I manage my thoughts and feelings towards the changes, towards my own activities, towards my physical limitations, towards my husband’s normal activities. After realizing this, I know I have to do something about my insecurities and my jealousy.  Because these are super nega and will not help me achieve a happy and healthy pregnancy.  Again, this is not a regular case for me, I just have those jealous-doubtful-arte days.   So, I’m sharing with you…

Let's be honest mommies, shall we?  One of the body parts we are most insecure about, maybe next to our bulging tummies, is our underarm.  Raise your hand or say "uh-hmmm" if you think so.  I wonder, why do we look at our underarms as something very intimate that we're too shy to show it off?  Come to think of it, it's just an extension of our arms right?

This month, we will be observing Holy Week earlier than last year.  Do you have any plans already?  Usually, our family just stays at home and participate the church activities to commemorate the death and resurrection of our savior Jesus Christ.  In other times, we have a staycation, still within the city (because believe me, it's the most quiet and most traffic-free days in Metro Manila during this week) while everyone else is out of town for a family vacation.  We rejoice and celebrate Jesus' resurrection on Easter Sunday by attending or participating an Easter egg hunting event/s in malls or hotels.

Summer vacation is fast approaching AND... when it's that time of the year, we want our kids not to be idle and use this time to enhance their skills and talents, to learn something new, and continue to grow by enrolling them in summer classes.

I have two children and another one on the way.  I'm expecting another boy, so that makes three boys in a row.  Wow, talk about boy making machine, yup that's me! :)  Although we were praying for a girl this time, God said, I'd be a better mommah to another boy, just as how I am with my first two boys.  Better luck next time (which my husband says in full swing baby production again for next year, haha, we'll see!).

Flashback to when I had only one child and the second one was still in my oven, one of the most fearful thoughts I had was how to not make my elder child might get jealous of the new baby.  Other thoughts were: How would he not feel less loved?  How would he not feel that we have lesser attention on him and more on the new baby?

I am no love guru.  In fact, I've failed many times at it, even up to this day.  I am now married to my best friend, my soulmate, and my everything.  But before that, it was one hell of a road to get to where we are now.

I came from a failed marriage when I was in my early 20s.  I know now that I was indeed too young back then to be experiencing all the heartaches and downfalls I had.  And yet, I still didn't stop committing love and falling-in-love mistakes after that.  Finally, when I was sober, in my late 20s, 27 to be exact, I prayed to God, to keep me focused on what really matters, my son Dandre, my job, and in serving HIM.

My elder son is graduating from grade school this year.  I’m excited as he is, but at the same time a little bit anxious because his graduation would simply mean more independence for him.  More independence also means letting go of him little by little as he enters teenager years.  Yes I know, I worry too much.  Most of his classmates’ parents allow their children to already commute going home every day.  I don’t.  My son’s a few inches taller than I am, a handsome and smart-looking young man, and he still rides his school service every day.  I guess I’m being overprotective.  Bottom line is, I just want him to be safe.
