It's still May and I ought to post this before this Mommy month ends!  What's up with me?  Well, it's been a very busy past two weeks for me.  Imagine, I'm 34-35 weeks pregnant, with two kids that needed to be enrolled in school, with a baby stuff I need to prepare before I pop, and with multitude of workload from the office.  So much to do so little time!

I work my enlarged preggy butt off everyday as if I'm giving birth tomorrow.  I need to make working-from-home, work.  I need to meet deadlines, I need to complete my children's back-to-school shopping.  My older son also needs to be prepared for his manhood surgery.  I think you have an idea now at how occupied I was these past few days.

So now I'm a little bit well-rested, I want to reminisce to one special occasion in my life - Mother's Day!
Parading my big belly at 33 weeks of pregnancy
Our family was given the gift of a hotel staycation by Best Western Plus Antel Hotel to bond and intimately celebrate Mother's Day.  We were given a 1BR suite at their Serenity Suites/Tower.
Checking in was a breeze as we were assisted right away to our room at the 14th floor, which looked and felt like home away from home.

Upon entry to our room, we were greeted with this homey space, a Dinette, a sofa bed, wall-mounted flat TV, and a kitchen to the right.
Here's the kitchenette and the minibar.  The room came with coffee and tea-making facility and complimentary bottles of water too.  It has a microwave oven for easy heating or reheating of food.  This didn't come with plates, glasses, and utensils which you may need if you plan to have food delivered.  So I suggest, you bring your own.  Stock up on a gallon of water as well, if you're a heavy (water) drinking like our family.
The full-packed minibar has extra bottles of water, assorted sodas in can, chips and cookies too!
Since I have the two boys with me, they slept on this comfortable sofa bed.  Let mommy try and test its comfort first...Passed!
Here were the two boys enjoying a show on TV while munching on chips and cookies (ubos na at the time of taking this photo.)  These knick knacks are available at the room's minibar.
Now let me tour you inside our cozy room which has a queen-sized bed and a working table on the side, a closet to put clothes or other stuff in.  Inside the closet, you'll find two pairs of bedroom slippers, hangers, laundry bag, and their safety box.
The working table in our room included a leather-bound guests' guide to staying at Best Western Plus Antel Hotel.  It's where you'll also find the room service menu and contact numbers in case you want to request anything from the front desk, housekeeping, or for simply making a local call.
The bathroom is located immediately at the right side upon room entry.  It's complete with basic toiletry needs like dental kit, shampoo, soap, lotion, and cotton buds.  Clean towels of course are provided.  Hair dryer is also available, a woman's lifesaving tool!
What I like most in a hotel's comfort room is having a rainfall shower and of course having a hot-and-cold water.  Best Western Plus Antel Hotel has all these comfort which every guest would need and look for.
Best Western Plus Antel Hotel is complete with recreational facilities like their four (4) pools - two for adults and two for kids,  an outdoor playground, gym, Tocarre Spa for your much-needed massage service (too bad, I wasn't able to indulge ourselves with a massage), and two (2) restaurants, Granvia Cafe and Azzurro Restaurante Mediterraneo, where you could order meals throughout the day.

On our first day, the hubby and kids took advantage of the time in the pool.  As in right after checking-in, they got their swimsuits on and had their grand time swimming and playing in the pool.

While I cannot swim (forbidden to do so by my OB), I watched the boys from afar and appreciated the beauty of Makati City's skyline from the fifth floor of Best Western Plus Antel Hotel.
Ang ganda no?  I didn't also pass the chance to take my #MPPreggyOOTD shots, andun na eh. :)

As the day came to an end, we ordered food for dinner and ate in the room instead of going out, for reason that I can't be too physically stressed by walking too far.  Good thing our room in the Serenity Suites allowed us to do so, with an available microwave for reheating, mini-refrigerator for food keeping, and minibar for available snacks my kids wish to pick within reach should they feel like having an after-dinner snack while watching TV.

We set up the sofa into a bed for the two boys to sleep on.  You may request for extra pillows and blankets without any charge by the way.  Glad we had two cable TVs in the room, no fighting over channels between parents and kids.  LOL!  Even the air-conditioning units (the room has two) are more than enough to cool the whole suite.  With all these, it was expected for us all to be well-rested.

The following day, Mother's Day, I didn't notice my husband left the hotel before sunrise to surprise me with this:
I instantly felt like a preggy beauty queen and I really felt like it was MY DAY!!!  He even wrote a long note, which he doesn't usually do, that's why this gesture was really special.  I was reminded of my sacrifices for my children from childbirth to how they have grown today.  Parang, wow, I have two wonderful boys and another boy coming soon to our family.  God is so good for blessing me with the opportunity to become a mother.
My first-born Dandre Lucas, born in 2003.
My second son, Deangelo Wes Liam, born in 2010.
I was teary-eyed, even with my morning glory and just-woke-up bare face, when I received the bouquet brought to the room by my husband and kids.  Sigh, what a brief moment of pure bliss!  We prepared for our buffet breakfast at Granvia Cafe, also located at the 5th floor of the hotel.

Before checking out, Best Western Plus Antel Hotel surprised me with a mini-chocolate Mother's Day cake.  Such a thoughtful gesture from the staff.  Thank you for putting an extra to our already well-spent hotel staycation.
Thank you Granvia Cafe for the moist mini-chocolate cake! :)
Over-all, we had a good Mother's Day hotel staycation experience at Best Western Plus Antel Hotel.  Since most of the time I was just in the room, I'm very particular about the comfort, space, completeness of facilities, cleanliness, air-conditioning, and courteousness of the hotel staff.

For a family who's used to staycationing around Metro Manila hotels, Best Western Plus Antel Hotel's Serenity Suites accommodation has passed our family standard of a great service.  We commend the front desk staff for being efficient and fast service.

PLUS!  A supermarket is just across the hotel so if you need last-minute stuff for your stay, it won't be a hassle to go out.  Restaurants are abundant, there are so many to choose from.  A. Venue mall and Century City Mall are also walking distance from the hotel.  If you're bringing a car, parking is free!  With all these and more, staying at Best Western Plus Antel Hotel is worth it.  Your stay will definitely be a comfortable and a relaxing one.
A Happy Mother's Day for me indeed!
