Is there a certain dish, other than Filipino, that your taste buds feel very at home to?  You do?  Well, for me it's definitely Italian which tickles my buds and excites the rest of my senses!

My brother Rommel and I both adore Italian food.  Whenever he would come home (he's SG based), we always meet up at CIBO (literally means "food" in Italian) for lunch.  I had a chance to miss him when last week, during my attendance of IMMAP Summit at Power Plant Mall in Rockwell Center, my colleagues and I decided to have lunch at CIBO Bimbi.
Nina, yours truly and Libay - all hungry
Walking towards the south of Power Plant's third floor to reach CIBO Bimbi was already a treat.  The aroma of freshly cooked dishes, the spices and herbs, instantly hooked my olfactory senses.  The challenge we had was finding the next available seat.  Fortunately, Nina, the youngest among us, was quick to spot customers already leaving.  Instead of waiting, she approached them and alas, the table was ours.

Deciding which to satisfy our tummies was not hard.  It's clear among the three of us what we wanted: Soup, Pasta and Pizza.  Here were what we decided to feast for lunch:
Crama di Zucca, Pancetta - P185.00 (to share for two)
Prosciutto di Parma Rossa (Tomato, Mozzarella, Parma Ham,
Arugula, Parmesan) - Photo from Cibo.ph
P 358.00 (to share for four)
Spaghetti Alla Romana (Sardines, Olive oil, fennel, chilli pepers,
red pesto) P 393.00 (to share for three)
Limone Te Freddo (Iced Tea) - P78.00/glass
We all happily filled our grumbling tummies with sumptuous and mouth-watering Italian food from CIBO Bimbi.  We spent a total of P1,170 plus 10% service tax which our IMMAP Summit IDs paid for.  Great lunch indeed!

Just a thought though, the pasta, Spaghetti Alla Romana, looked inexpensive and easy to prepare.  So I thought of sharing what I researched online on how to prepare this pasta dish.

Bon Appetit!

  9. I'd like to try the Prosciutto di Parma Rosa pizza! First time I tried prosciutto was in Rome last June and I love it. Not so fortunate here in Zamboanga ... not so much authentic choices!!!
