Blogging Inspiration
Blogging Inspirations and an Achievement
When I started blogging in July of this year, the objectives I had in mind were: 1) To write about my experiences as a practical mom and 2) To share tips and tricks on juggling family life and career, being that I'm working as a full-time corporate ant. They remain to be up to this day and time. But as I write one post after the other and follow other bloggers of the same niche on Twitter and subscribe to their feeds, I discovered that there are so much more a full-pledged blogger could do.
What Responsible Blogging Could Do:
- Take you places for free.
- Let you meet a lot of new online friends with the same passion.
- Get you to exclusive events.
- Get you free products and services for review or giveaway.
- Make you earn money through ads or PRs.
- Make you an expert brand builder.
- Expand your horizons through continuous learning.
- Improve your vocabulary and skills in writing.
Based on my continuous research about blogging and SEO through the help of Paul Crowe and Jeff Bullas, "Content is KING!" But, your original content could take a backseat if you do not promote it through the help of social media such as the more popular: Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest or StumbleUpon. It's also important to own your brand by getting your own domain (which I have yet to do soon) and ensure that your website should have sharing and subscription buttons. Having learned these, I religiously work on my blog's design, content and usability. It still needs a lot of improvement and I'll make sure I do that before I celebrate my blogging anniversary.
With the available blogging tips and tools plus samples of great works from some of the established and popular blogs I follow, I am inspired everyday to work harder on one of the many passions I enjoy (which is of course blogging) and that maybe I could be like my blogger idols someday.
I get my inspiration from these excellent and talented bloggers:

My Early Blogging Achievement:
After three (3) months, eighteen (18) days and 54 posts, I consider myself relatively a fast-learning blogger. I've gained almost 200 Twitter followers, above 27,000 page views (as of writing), ranked #62 in Top Blogs in my category and linked in above 40 other sites. I also received a free Monster Meal Deal from Shakey's and a free waxing service Lay Bare. One of my dreams is to get an invite to an event as a Blogger just like my blogger icons above and just recently, the dream came true!
Media Invitation which sent shivers to my spine! Thanks to Janice of Roller Coaster Ride for the referral. |
What's Next:
Because I am a full time 8-5 working mom, an active band singer and a momtrepreneur on the side, my schedule is always packed with a lot of career and home duties, tasks, responsibilities and what have yous. I hope I sustain the motivation and enthusiasm I have for this craft which I committed to do, to be able to reach and help other moms/women. I will just take one step at a time and hope this takes me somewhere. For now, I will better my best, keep on improving and share significant content so that in one way or another, I could make a difference and be an inspiration to others, just like how my blogger idols are affecting me.

Awww, Louise. I feel so honored to be one of your inspirations, especially considering who your other inspirations are. :) I am not within the same rank as them! Still hoping to be like them too someday. Good luck with your blogging and continue to work hard. :)
ReplyDeleteOf the 8, I am still in the #2, #7 and #8 level! It seems invitations, events, giveaways and money have not really come my way. But, this Commex, however, has increased my stats!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Louise for including me in your list! I'm honored.
ReplyDeleteI admire working moms who still make time for their passion, and blog at the same time!
Just have fun blogging and sharing. :)

Hello Louise! Thank you for including me as one of your inspirations. That is basically my goal when I started my blog, to inspire other women. My blog really reflects who I am aside from the many titles I hold. I write whatever I think of and experience first hand so it easier and more natural. Until eventually people got interested in what I was writing and started inviting me to events and do reviews so don't pressure yourself coz for sure you'll get there. Like you said, it's been less than half a year since you started but look at what you've achieved! Good luck to your blogging and I hope to meet you someday (which I bet will be soon). More power to your blog!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for you! You're doing a great job with your blog and being a mom :) idol!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations Louise. You truly deserve it!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I hope to develop my english grammar and writing skills.. :)
ReplyDeleteYou've already achieved a lot in less than a year of blogging experience and a media invitation already. That's something! Now that makes you my inspiration since I've been blogging for over a year now and still haven't got any products to review or getting freebies. haha! :-)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations... Hopefully, I achieve that too someday although really mine is just a personal blog. :)
ReplyDeleteThat was cool. It is also my hope that my blogging thing will bring me somewhere too. About you, you've already reached it, it just for you to sustain it I guess. Great blog with great content! Keep it up! :)

ReplyDeleteHi Louise, that's great that you have invites. It's really awesome specially the perks that we, as bloggers, are getting but of course we need to comply as well with the requirements by these different brands offering us things. It's also a good source of other income.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Well I have not reached the part where I get paid yet. Hopefully soon! :)
ReplyDeletei have been blogging for 3 years and still not earning much from it or getting invites (because i lives thousands of miles away where bloghappenings are)... but still i enjoy keeping my blog, its helping me keep my sanity in this laid back town hehehe.... and meet really warm people too!
ReplyDeletei blog because i love to write, congrats on having invites and on your blog achievements!
ReplyDeleteBlogging can really be a passive source of income... pero how do I start? I've been blogging for a while now and I do it because I love to write and receiving comments from others gives me an instant lift :)
ReplyDeleteI still got a lot to learn in terms of earning from blogs...but like most of us, I guess it all starts with the love for writing, secondary na lang ang income, unless of course it's our sole means for a living. I'm just taking it slow, building up blog content until some people notice and who would like to sponsor or put ads or whatever...I've had offers but I'd like to be fair to them...my blog doesn't get that much exposure yet. I'll get to accepting ads in the future...one at a time lang.
ReplyDeletewow! you've got a lot on your name already. Me, I still have a lot of things to learn on blogging. For one, I need to get a new laptop for more convenience in writing. Also, I need more time in expanding my horizon in this craft.
ReplyDeleteI may not achieve what you had but I am still pursuing to give my best. I just want to express more in blogging. Congrats in all your achievement. :)
That's true Charm.. we meet a lot of good friends online! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Gerilen! I started this because for the love of writing as well! Didn't expect to get invited and I am thankful for that really! :)
ReplyDeleteTrue, I feel the same way, it uplifts one! I haven't really earned anything yet, hope that time comes for me too. But for now, I'm enjoying writing and creating content that would be of help to others. :)
ReplyDeleteTrue Aileen, for the love of writing. That's why I started Mommy Practicality too. :)
ReplyDeleteNaku, I guess Tet, I'm just the kind of person who looves multi-tasking! :) But like you I just love writing and sharing that's why I started my blog. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog and leaving your wonderful comment!
