If you are a working mom like myself, you know the frustration I sometimes feel when I don't get to prepare my family a good home-cooked meal.  When I say good, that means any of the following dishes: Menudo, Afritada, Tinola or Sinigang.  I am always in a hurry and the best that I can do for cooking our baon is to fry, because it's the easiest and quickest way to cook a meal.

We do all know that fried foods could be very unhealthy for our bodies right?  I believe that too!  But I also know better now, that it actually depends on what type of cooking oil you use, also that everything should be in moderation.  Researches in the past show that it could cause obesity, heart attacks or diabetes.  But recently, a long-term study was made in Spain among 40,000 adults, and it showed that:
"...those who ate the most fried foods had no greater risk of heart disease or premature death. Another study, this one in obese women, even found a beneficial effect of fried foods on insulin levels.  The type of oil or fat is just one factor that can affect the healthfulness of a fried food." (Source: Time.com)
Yun naman pala.  But again, moderation is still the key to healthier eating of fried foods.  Also it's important to use a healthy cooking oil.  Choose those that have health benefits such as olive oil, sunflower oil or coconut oil.  For my family I choose Minola Coconut Cooking Oil.

A Healthier Cooking Oil Companion
One of the leading brands of coconut oil in the Philippines for the past 50 years is Minola Coconut Oil.  Having been in the cooking oil industry for that long just means they are reputable and trusted by many. I did my research on coconut oil and why it's considered a healthier oil.  Did you know that one of the most notable advantages of coconut oil is its ability to fight viruses and bacteria? This immunity-boosting benefit can be attributed to the presence of LAURIC in coconut oil.

Lauric oil is the same substance found in mother’s milk.  Wow, I mean, hearing that it's also present in mother's milk means a lot to me.  Minola Coconut Cooking Oil is rich in LAURIC OIL that helps fight viruses and bacteria.

Knowing these information about choosing a healthier cooking oil made me less scared about serving bad foods to my family for their baons.  Now I know that cooking with Minola Cooking Oil will help boost your family’s immunity.

What's more, with Minola, you can enjoy the benefits of coconut oil without spending a
lot.  Perfect para sa ating mga practical mommies!  With Minola, you can serve healthy dishes to your family and ensure their health at the same time.

~How about you busy mommy?  Do you feel guilty at times serving the family fried foods?~
