The kids and I were in for a treat last Sunday when we had a Sweet Sunday Brunch at Spectrum in Fairmont Makati, featuring their sweetest theme: A Candy Wonderland!

Fairmont Makati is located in the heart of financial and leisure entertainment center catering to the sophisticated business traveller.  Fairmont Makati is comprised of 280 rooms and suites and situated within a sleek 30-storey tower.  The property has seven vibrant and lively food and beverage outlets, and one of which is the Spectrum!
I have a confession to make, I was born with a sweet tooth even before they erupted and this was passed on to my kids, so Spectrum's Sunday Brunch theme was definitely a hit for the three of us!  The Sweet Sunday Brunch: A Candy Wonderland happens every Sunday from 12 noon until 3 pm.

Enjoy brunch with family over a lavish spread of sumptuous international cuisines from a live culinary theater which includes Spanish, Filipino, Middle Eastern, and continental dishes to name a few.  Here were some of what graced our plates that lovely and oh-so-sweet afternoon:

The highlight is the spectacular dessert buffet where both the young and young-at-heart can indulge in a colorful, whimsical array of luscious desserts and sweet treats. The lollipop paloozas, gummy bears, licorice delights and candy-inspired cakes will surely make any candy-holic’s day.  Just take a look at all these:

The Sweet Sunday Brunch also highlighted the sweetest four candy and chocolate partners namely: LINDT from Switzerland (making masterful chocolates since 1845, available in all leading supermarkets nationwide), GHIRARDELLI from U.S.A. (available in all leading supermarkets in Metro Manila), VALOR from Spain (making chocolates since 1881, available in all leading supermarkets and drugstores nationwide), and HARIBO from Germany (their Haribo Goldbears are the original gummi bears in five fruity flavors, available in all leading supermarkets and drugstores nationwide.)

 A separate play area is ready for aspiring chefs to create and decorate their very own cupcakes or sweet/dessert pizza!  While Wes enjoyed making his own creation (talk about chocolate chip cookie dough, chocolate chips, and chocolate syrup galore!)  I enjoyed savoring his oven-baked dessert pizza!  Yummy!

First, get a dough and roll the pin over it!  Wes enjoyed rolling and rolling and rolling!

Next, put any toppings you want!  Choose from the choco chips, cookies, candies, then smother it with choco syrup!
