I've always wanted to experience a massage at The SPA Greenbelt.  I usually see its inviting facade whenever I go to Greenbelt 1 and tell myself, one day I will have a Swedish massage there.  Luckily, I got a FREE voucher from a generous colleague.  The Executive Massage voucher was about to expire and I was the perfect and available recipient of it.  One of my favorite ME-Time activities is to have a massage, and to have it at The SPA is truly special for me.
The SPA
Thanks to my colleague Cathy for the FREE Voucher

The SPA is a perfect place for retreat and an instant feel of heaven for relaxation and rejuvenation, right in the heart of the city.  But honestly, as a practical mom, spending for a pricey massage is not a thing for me specially with the existence of a number of more affordable spas in Manila.  But that changed after I experienced their valuable and different kind of service.

From The SPA's door to the reception.
As soon as I entered the door, I felt like I was in another dimension.  Walking through bridge-like corridor with water underneath instantly emitted a calming effect on me.  Courteous receptionists greeted me with a an assuring smile, telling me their massage is something I will come back for.  After I got my key, I was told to proceed to the female locker area to change.  Female and Male rooms are separated by the way.

Secured locker rooms.
First stop, the shower.  The SPA conveniently has a supply of toiletries one would need for bathing and freshening up afterwards.  Hot and cold water are available.  Their shower rooms are clean and well-maintained.  After cleaning myself, it's time for another of my favorite places to bask in, the steam room.  If it's safe to stay an hour or two, I would!  That's how I love the steam bath or the sauna.  Steam bath or the sauna is good for one's health because it: 1) forces the toxins out; 2) improves the skin if done regularly; 3) eases breathing; 4) stimulates the immune system; lastly, 5) it relaxes the muscles.
The SPA's powder room.
After sweating it out for 30 minutes max, I was ready for the massage!  But first, a cup of The SPA's Signature Ginger Hot Tea.

Since I had the Executive Massage voucher, I got a private room.  The SPA's version of Swedish massage had a special "hagod" compared to all the spas I've been.  My masseuse did an excellent job in paying attention to those hardened back muscles.  All I can say is, the whole one hour of quiet and comforting massage was worth it (aside from the fact that I got it for FREE!)

The SPA's massage and packages service menu is a bit pricey compared to others because their facilities and services are all upscale to meet the wellness needs of their hardworking customers.  Thank you The SPA, you definitely caught my heart and I will be back soon.
A happy me after the relaxing Swedish Massage.
You may visit The SPA's website or Facebook Fan Page for complete menu of services, branches and contact numbers.

  2. I guess that's the idea...that when you enter a spa, you are suddenly in a different dimension, away from the bustle of life...that's why even the word alone conveys something tranquil and relaxing....maybe I should say "spa" over and over lol! Glad you had a lovely experience there.
