Good morning loves!  First of all, I wish you, yes you who's reading this, a very happy day today!  Please do wish me the same.  The workplace is always a jungle or a war zone for me and the times that I get some breather is when I attend workshops, events or training.  I love attending those mentioned because I absorb new learning about the field that I'm into which can be relatable to my blogging.

Last week, I attended the 7th Internet and Mobile Marketing Summit 2013 (IMMAP) "Digital Drive" at the Powerplant Mall.  It was my second time to attend it and I've learned heaps from the speakers whose expertise are in digital marketing, SEO, TV, telecommunications and advertising.  Numerous cases and sample executions of successful campaigns were also exhibited by some speakers.

If you are a blogger, a social media specialist or a community manager, this post is for you.  I will be sharing my IMMAP Summit 2013 takeaways which are all insightful and compelling thughts.

Being a working mom has both disadvantages and advantages.  The downside is that you are away from your kids the whole day from Mondays to Fridays and don't get to spend as much time as you want to.  In effect, you tend to be guilty from working away from home because you don't get to attend to their needs, do the loving chores for them, clean and dress them up, and play with them.

But come to think of it, there are advantages too.  Working gives your household a steady income, a secured hospitalization benefits, a group insurance, bonuses here and there, and for moms, a good pack of self-confidence and oozing boost to self-esteem.  The only challenge that we face most of the time is - BUDGETING and SAVING.  Because we're always out, we can't help but spend, sometimes beyond the allowance we set for ourselves daily.

So I came up with some money-saving tips for busy working moms and it was published on Glam-o-Mamas!

Practical Saving Tips For Working Moms:

1. Walk the Short Distance instead of Riding a Tricycle or an FX – (Save P10.00) – I work in Makati City where loading and unloading areas are usually far from your company’s building. I get off around two blocks from the office building. I have two choices: 1) Ride another FX and pay an extra P10.00 on top of my P55.00 one way transportation 2) Walk. I choose to walk most of the time (except when I am not running late.) My waist may get trimmer and my pocket a little fatter.

2. Bring your Own Lunch instead of Dining Out - (Save P50 to P100.00) – We’re often lured with the countless fast food chain or restaurants around the work place. If you give in to the invites of your officemates, you spend around P50.00 to P1500.00 (or even higher) on food only not to finish the whole serving and put that hard-earned money to waste. Why not, prepare your family a delicious meal at home and bring that goodness of home-cooked meal as your baon?

3. Set Aside P20.00 a Day – Part of my 2013 goals is to set aside P20.00 a day and keep it in my piggy bank. My plan is to spend this savings for Christmas shopping (gifts for loved ones, family or friends.) This way, I don’t wait for the bonuses to come just to spend it on shopping. If you stick to this, you could save around P6,000.00 by December.

Hello loves!  I am just too excited to share with you one of the greatest achievements I've had so far in blogging.  When I was starting my stint as a serious blogger, I registered my website to Top Blogs Philippines under the Home and Living Category.  Back then (some 6 months ago) I was ranked 200+ but I didn't mind because I was just starting.

I just kept on writing, self-studying about SEOs, blog hopping, admiring and learning from my Mommy/Lifestyle Blogger Inspirations, kept on improving and just wished someday I will be ranked among Philippine's Top 20 Home and Living Blogs.

I had the time of my blogging career when last Sunday, February 17, at exactly 7 months and 16 days into blogging, while writing a post about Valentine's Day, I checked Top Blogs Home and Living category and saw this:


Shivers to the spines kind of feeling because I was ranked close to my Blogger Inspirations.  My admiration list now includes Mommy Fleur, Mrs Martinez Raves And Rants, and Animetric's World apart from those mentioned in my previous Mommy/Lifestyle Blogger Inspirations post.

So what now?  Just the same, I'll humbly continue this journey I've chosen to take, to help fellow moms with their needs.  I will continue to give relevant information and content that a practical parent may be looking for.  May I someday, be a source of inspiration to others too.  I would love the opportunity to help our online mommy community in any way I can.
