Staycation Experience at Privato Hotel Pasig City

Last month, just after Christmas, my family from the Santoses (my husband's family) decided to have a hotel staycation at Privato Hotel...

Last month, just after Christmas, my family from the Santoses (my husband's family) decided to have a hotel staycation at Privato Hotel along Shaw Boulevard in Pasig City.  I discovered Privato Hotel through my boss’ recommendation.  I didn’t know about the hotel that time, so when I checked their website, I was actually encouraged to book our family’s overnight stay to relax and recharge after Christmas.  I read the reviews online and also checked photos of the hotel by guests and the clean and modern ambiance are what actually got me.  Plus, they have a swimming pool which is a requirement for me to book a hotel.
That time, the standard room was on promo with free upgrade to a Deluxe Queen (2 Queen beds) with free 1 hour massage for two (2) for only P2,800 nett per night.  This didn’t include breakfast though.   But it’s okay because breakfast per person is only P350/person, half for kids above 6 years old, and free for 6 and below.  Great deal I must say.  This Weekend Staycation promo is extended until end of this month!  This is not a sponsored ad by the way, I'm just pleased with our staycation deal and experience.
They say this famous backdrop is their hotel's photo-op signature wall.
Since I’m pregnant, we really didn’t want to go too far.  So the location, which is abour 30-45 minutes away from our place, is perfect for me.  Privato Hotel is located at 706 Shaw Boulevard, Pasig City, which is almost across Capitol Commons.  Let me tour you around our upgraded room and the hotel’s facilities through these photos:

THE ROOM:
We indeed got more than what we paid for.  The promo said that we'll be upgraded to a Deluxe Double Queen.  Here it is, tadaaa! :)  It's a 28sqm room with two Queen Beds which could fit up to four adults.  Children 12 and below can stay for free.  This room is more than enough for the four of us and as soon as we got in the room, my little one hopped from one bed to the other repeatedly.  Wes is perennially happy whenever we have a hotel staycation.  He looooves soft sheets and bouncy beds, that's what he got here.
Just look at how these two literally owned the beds!  #LikeABoss pose pa yung maliit. :)  This is exactly the reason why my fambam loves hotel staycations.  The kids have fun, basta there's a swimming pool in the hotel.
Clean sheets, fluffy pillows, soft blankets, aaaahhhh!  Can I just sleep the whole time of our stay?!

Our room has a hair dryer, a vanity mirror with a narrow long table to put stuff on and an in-room telephone to access hotel assistance quickly or make outgoing calls.
Their signature wall art in their lobby is also printed in every room.  Tatak Privato Hotel ika-nga. :)
Like any other hotels, the room has all the basics like complimentary water bottles and coffee and tea making facility.
Their restroom has all the essentials like towels, soap, shampoo, and dental kit.  What I like about it is that it's clean plus it has a rainfall shower head!  For wet clothes you wish to hang, a clothesline is also installed.
A safety deposit box is also available in the room for valuables you wish to safe keep whenever you leave the room.  A mini-refrigerator is also available in the room for use.

Upon check-in, two key cards were given to us.  I was also asked for a valid ID and security deposit of P1000.00 for incidental charges.  Extra person on top of maximum capacity could stay for P500/night without breakfast.  Parking for one vehicle per room is free of charge, additional car will be charged P250 for overnight parking.  Not bad at all.

HOTEL AMENTIES: POOL & GYM
Like what I mentioned above, for me to book a hotel, existence of a swimming pool is a requirement.  I have two children who have a strong relationship with it.  They could swim all day, sleep in/on it.  And play in like like there's no tomorrow.  Privato hotel's indoor pool is perfect for us because the shade just means they won't get dark easily, even if they stay in it the whole day, just don't forget to put sunscreen on their bodies before jumping in the pool okay?
Clean towels for guests are available and a number of lounge benches are also there for resting parents or guardians of children or simply for lounging before/after swimming.
The pool is shallow so it's safe for children.  Downsides are 1) Water is too cold; and 2) Pool is too small.  But then again, it's still a good choice to stay in this pretty boutique hotel because it has a swimming pool pa rin naman.  And because the moms couldn't handle the cold water, only the dads (Macky and his brother Adrian) swam with the kids.
For health conscious and active guests, you'd be happy to know that they have a gym which has enough machines to help you burn your calories.  The gym is great for cardio exercises and muscle toning/building activities.
Dumbbells are available in different weights.
VERONA ROOFTOP LOUNGE
Open daily from 11:00 am til 12:00 midnight, Verona Rooftop Lounge serves international cuisine.  By sunset, their bar is open for your favorite drink.  This is located on the other part of the same floor where the swimming pool and gym are.  A perfect place to unwind at night and relax while looking at the breathtaking view of the Makati and Fort Bonifacio skyline.  I regret not coming up here at night.
Haven't you noticed that the interiors of this boutique hotel are nothing but lovely?  They are modern, minimalist, and clean.
Perfect for lounging with family or friends, day and especially at night.  Too bad we weren't able to go here because of our scheduled complimentary in-room 1-hour massage.  :)
I was only able to come up here and see the view the following morning.  Here I am, making muni-muni while the kids are still swimming. :)
HOTEL LOBBY/GROUND FLOOR
Privato Hotel's lobby isn't that big, but it's spacious and well-lit.  It also boasts of its almost natural lighting and modern furniture and ambiance making it look like a posh boutique hotel.  A small cookie bar is located at the ground floor too.
The front-desk staff were all accommodating and courteous, not to mention they're all pretty too! :)
Hotel's lobby or waiting area with their famous black-and-white signature wall design.
PIAZZA PRIVATO RESTAURANT
Our weekend staycation promo availment didn't come with breakfast.  So the following morning, we paid P350 each for breakfast at Piazza Privato.  Children 0 - 6 years old are free or charge while, children 7 - 12 years old pay half the price.

Piazza Privato is open daily and breakfast is served as early as 6:00 am up to 10:00 am.
Interiors are again modern minimalist and I like the ambiance of dining at a restaurant with an impression of it being clean because of the hotel's choice of color and design.
The buffet spread consists of three viands (Sadly there was NO BACON! huhuhu!), egg, rice, fresh fruits, cereals, salad, breads (includes pancake or french toast) and spreads, hash brown, porridge (Lugaw for short) or soup, desserts, juices, coffee and tea.  For P350/person, I would say it's worth it.  But the downside (which I commented on the survey they sent me through email) was that the food wasn't hot.  I'm not used to eating almost cold food.  I hope I was just unlucky that day and that they don't usually serve food which aren't warmed.

OVER-ALL REVIEW
Like what I've said earlier, our family digs travelling and hotel staycations.  For the price that we got our weekend stay, our stay was so much worth it!  No corner in this pretty boutique hotel isn't well-kept.  For a not so big hotel, their choice of modern minimalist design and ambiance makes the hotel optically spacious.  Staff were all courteous and efficient, plus they always smile making their guests feel really welcome and almost close to home.  The hotel facilities are quite complete, they've got the essentials their guests may need.  Price is indeed reasonable and perfect for like me who loves to get the best out of life without spending too much to achieve it.  There were some misses like serving not-too-warm breakfast and the pool being too cold, but their other hits overcome the misses immensely.  Accessibility to transportation, nearby convenience store, commercial complex, and restaurants, is not a problem at all.  Will we come back?  Yes, we definitely will. :)
