There's nothing more exciting for my four year old than to see the Disney characters he loves up close and performing LIVE!  Thanks to Sun Cellular for making this possible for me and the kids!

If you don't know it yet, I'm only three months away from our BIG day (Panic!  Waaah!), which is our wedding day!  So spending a big amount of money on to something else would be crazy and impractical.  Let's take for example Madonna's upcoming one-night Philippine concert, even if I looooove Madonna and grew up listening to her (and her songs even influenced me in more ways than one) I don't think I would spend P60,000 for her ticket.  I'd rather spend it for something more long-term like an investment or for the wedding!  It's almost automatic for me as a practical mom to #ChooseBetter when it comes to spending.

Just imagine what you could get for that much money right?  Since I'm preparing for the wedding, I've gone through different garden wedding venues and talked to wedding suppliers.  The first thing I need to know after liking the ambiance of the place or samples of their services, is HOW MUCH?  I think all brides or soon-to-be-brides would agree.  Let me share with you where 60,000 pesos could take you when wedding preps are concerned:

Where 60,000 could take me:

1.  A whole garden venue for the wedding day X 3! - I love promos and sales loves, you know that!  I got my garden wedding venue at a discounted price because I waited for their promo.  It now only costs 20,000 pesos for five hours use (excluding ingress and egress!)  So with 60,000, I could book the event place three times over!

Hello loves!  How are you all doing this past week?  Ako I'm very excited to share with you that I got to experience a once in a lifetime TV guesting in a mommy-oriented show to be aired on TV5!  What's more exciting was that they shot the whole episode in our humble abode!  If mom would still be alive, she surely would be the first to be aligaga to arrange the house and make sure it's squeaky clean.  But for sure, as she was watching us down from above, she's proud at how I managed the house.

Being a mother is not just a title, it’s a role which not everyone could carry out with a breeze.  It’s both a blessing and a crazy life mission.  But one thing is for sure, it’s the most beautiful thing that could happen to a woman.  I could talk about craziness all day, but it’s a beautiful kind of crazy.  I wasn’t as OC as I am now, before being a mom.  But when I became one eleven years ago, being organized and making sure everything is complete are what kept me on toes even up to this day.

Dandre has just turned seven when Wes was born in 2010. :)  They complete me!:)

There are definitely moments when we reflect and count on the most important or memorable persons, events or lessons in our lives.  When asked about it, I always come up with three important answers because I always believe the best things come in three's.  Just recently, when I was asked about the things I miss about my mom (who passed away last year), I came up with the best three:

1. Her unconditional love to us her children; 
2. Her strong but happy personality; and 
3. Mom's service to God and people.

I admittedly love shopping, who wouldn't right?  But don't get me wrong, I make sure these are planned and budgeted shopping activities!  As I track my purchases month by month, the things I spend for the most are the following: Food (Groceries and Daily Meals), Bills (electricity, SUN postpaid bill, land line and water), Insurance and Investments.  Given these, plus two kids, it's important for me to be wise in all my expenses.  Also, being practical for me means getting the best of life without having to spend too much.  Practicality is not being limited, it's being a smart spender.

This blog is not called Mommy Practicality for no reason.  When I was starting, I was looking for a name that would best fit my lifestyle because it will definitely reflect on the things I will be writing about.  Hence, my blog features are the likes of Practical Mom (where I talk about my practical mommy lifestyle in general) and Practical Finds (where I feature my bargain hunts, sale purchases and other things I was able to save on) such as these:
